Kew - Anthony Smith

Fri 3 September 2004 - 7.00pm

Well, England just doesn't get any better than this: beer, a warm late summer's evening, charming pubs,
lovely river views, beautiful sunset, great people (the count was 30 or so), beer (did I already say beer?)...

Fantastic pub - really cosy and traditional, lovely friendly atmosphere. Very extensive menu and food was excellent - so much choice will just have to return every week.

This is one of my favourite pubs in london, the food is fantastic and not just by pub standards it quite easily out does any of the local resturants the atmosphere is warm and inviting and staff are very affable. Perfect for every occasion

Great location, staff friendly as long as it is not busy. Very nice wine and beer!

This is the best pub ever, the service is good, although people tend to complain because it is so busy. Whoever said that locals don't drink there is wrong. We do, and we love it!

When you have 500 year old pub by the river it's difficult to go wrong. A beer by the Thames is a treat, when the tide is out...

The pubs along the river can't go wrong really.
Good for: Hot summer nights

I came back from being away for a few months, and the only thing that had changed was the fact Dean had moved on, shame, but the place is still great and the food better than ever. (anonymous - 27 Nov 2003 12:50)
