- Yes, it is a Wetherspoons but as Wetherspoons go, it is definitely one of the better ones. The upstairs part has view of the Tower Of London and Tower Bridge; views that people come from all over the world to see.

- We've had boats, theatres, tapas bars, vodka bars and more on the crawls before. This time it's a wine shop! The difference is that you can consume the wine on the premises for a corkage charge. By my calculations, the cheaper end of the range plus the corkage charge works out no more expensive than buying wine in a pub, except that here though, the wine has to be bought by the bottle.

This place was so well liked that a separate meeting here in its own right is likely to be organised.

- Worth a visit for the novelty value. It's not as raucous as the original in Old Street but that's maybe a good thing.

- There's more space inside than is apparent from viewing from outside. It also has a courtyard, although given the weather, it wasn't made use of.

- Incongruously sandwiched between two glass and steel office buildings, this is a traditional sort of English pub.
