Sunday walk On the Sunday, let's walk off the excesses of the pub crawl with a gentle stroll along the Isis out to Wolvercote, a charming little village about 2 miles out of central Oxford. Wolvercote has a number of pubs around its village green and we will have a mini-crawl around these and have lunch at one of them. We won't be going to the Trout, which, being one of the most picturesque pubs for miles around, is almost impossible to get into and is usually overrun by children. The food isn't as good as it once was anyway! We'll meet at the Grand Café on the High Street from 10.30 and aim to leave at 11.15. Don't worry the walk won't be very strenuous but if you really can't face it, there are buses to Wolvercote from the centre of town. ![]() ![]()
