The London Mensa Pub Crawl A - Z

The First Friday Pub Crawl no longer has an A-Z theme.

However, it served its purpose admirably - to maintain the First Friday Pub Crawl tradition without having to rely on one specific host.
In fact, it worked so well that we went round the alphabet twice!

A spin off from the idea, an A-Z of restaurants, was also run

The pubs

It seems that the pub crawlers have managed to visit 326 pubs over the course of the two A-Z runs!
The first run had 156 pubs, the second run had 170. This can be explained by the earlier starts to the more recent crawls,
despite the first run having one more crawl (some of the letters were doubled up). The two crawls where two pubs
were visited concurrently (due to size limitations) only counted as one pub, in the final count.

The crawl with the least number of pubs was Colin Price's Upminster crawl, which only had 3 (the crawl did
start at 8pm however).

The most pubs per itinerary was 7, a record jointly shared by eleven crawls (Tim Andrews' Z crawl would
have had eight, had the Harrods bar not shut early).

During the course of the crawls, numerous wine bars, two tapas bars, a vodka bar, a theatre, and a boat managed to find their way into the proceedings!
